I collage and layer silk-screen, digital and mono-prints with encaustic medium, pigment and metal. I am fascinated by the structures; patterns and repetition found in nature — they mirror the mapping and coding of invisible information stored within our bodies.

The circular discarded machine parts embedded in the wax reference our cellular structure. The soft, pliant and yielding qualities of the encaustic contrast with the hard and resistant metal, serving to create a whole. It also acts as a skin or membrane, evoking bodily sensations, emotions, layers of history, and the passage of time.
